SmartSitting is looking for a Full-Time Booking Coordinator in our Union Square office! Our mission is to provide personalized childcare to New York City families. We believe in making every moment count, and we're looking for someone to help us in our mission!? In this SALARIED POSITION WITH BENEFITS , you'll be responsible for speaking with parents, learning about their kids, and assessing, scheduling, and managing their temporary childcare needs, including as-needed, occasional, fill-in, vacation, visiting, and other forms of temporary childcare provided by our network of extensively vetted nannies, babysitters, and child specialists. You'll also get to know our rockstar SmartSitters and their amazing individual personalities so you can best match families with individuals that will improve their lives, provide a much needed helping hand, and develop lasting memories and bonds with their children. Your daily checklist might include any and all of the following: scheduling bookings (including last minute ones) for existing families, following up with families about past bookings, building happy and healthy relationships with families so they continue to book with us, assisting with cancellations or rescheduling, managing a complex and bustling inbox in an organized and methodical way, speaking with new and current families, managing caregiver availability data, reviewing customer and caregiver feedback, helping navigate conflicts in a customer-focused and empathetic manner, and helping update family and sitter profiles. Additionally, you'll be involved in planning and leading training sessions and meet-ups with our community of babysitters and nannies, as well as attending departmental meetings to discuss improvements and solutions to issues that arise on a weekly basis. We are a collaborative group that constantly seeks to improve and grow. The official hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 12 PM - 9 PM with an hour off in the middle. Once established in the role, there is flexibility to work some of the evening hours remotely, and also some flexibility to shift to 7:30 AM-4:30 PM several time per month with approval. Our office team is a group of hard-working young professionals who appreciate art, creativity, education, and laughter.
