POSITION OVERVIEW This person will be an integral part of our Creative team in NYC. They?ll use their sharp writing and editing skills to ensure that messaging is always compelling and on-brand. Beyond that, this person will be highly conceptual, collaborating with across internal teams as well as clients in order to deliver the best work. RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in constructive inter-department and agency initiatives Mentor and lead members of the Creative team, pushing them to think beyond what the client has asked for Speak, judge, perform informational interviews, and participate in the larger creative community Own small to large-size projects Plan and direct many aspects of assigned projects Meet project goals and timelines? Lead teams in a project setting (brainstorming, concepting, critiquing work) Translate established creative direction into conceptual ideas Qualify, prioritize, and delegate workloads for your team(s) Manage internal details of assigned projects, including working and coordinating with Production and Account teams Create and execute award-winning work that achieves clients? objectives Follow strategic and creative direction of senior Creative and Account staff Write in multiple styles for multiple formats, reflecting an understanding of brand tone Appraise and edit your own work Partner with Art Director/Designer to ensure that the art direction supports the concept Create a range of concepts with little oversight? QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years of digital and/or advertising copywriting experience Strong, diverse creative portfolio Excellent presentation skills Curiosity for new technologies and emerging trends Background in marketing and technology preferred Experience mentoring or managing associates and/or interns Understanding of the various departments and how various roles work within those departments Strong time management skills Strong conceptual and executional skills Objectively look at a brand in contrast to the subjectivity of your personal taste Highly responsible, collaborative, and self-motivated Have a strong knowledge of clients? business objectives, brand, consumer, and competitive landscape to inform insightful messaging Command different writing styles/tones Understanding of how to construct a strong story arch ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ability to handle stress/work well with others Ability to work independently Attendance/punctual performance Performance to productivity standards set forth by space150 Ability to work full-time or overtime Ability to work during space150?s core business hours WHAT WE OFFER Competitive salary Hip office located in The Bowery Fun, diverse humans who will become your extended family; supporting you, coaching you, and who are always down to grab drinks or coffee with you for any old reason (or no reason at all).
