About the roleWe are hiring for a Senior Startup Counsel position to work alongside our partners and advise our growing book of clients, and to attract new clients. The Senior Startup Counsel will advise clients on the range of services we provide, which may include helping clients to incorporate their venture, hire employees and contractors, issue equity to attract talent, raise rounds of investment, negotiate and execute a range of commercial contracts, and protect their valuable IP. What you can expect from us2019 has been a year of strong growth for our firm. You can understand our clients’ goals and help them achieve their desired outcome while complying with the law and protecting their interests. You are great at communicating proactively with clients, SPZ staff and other external parties in a professional and friendly manner. QualificationsRequired:Licensed to practice law in the State of California.4+ year(s) experience as an attorney in a law firm or in-house.Highly experienced in at least three of the following practice areas: entity selection and formation, financings, trademark prosecution, employment law, data privacy, and commercial contracts.High capacity for solving problems with attention to detail.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Proficient with Microsoft Office and generally tech-savvy and innately able to pick up new software quickly.Excellent with project management and multitasking.Preferred:Bay Area location preferred, but not required.
