Manager of Patient Finanical Support Services Apply now Job no: 61098 Department: Financial Services-Patient Employer: State of New York Payroll Title: TH Patient Accounting Senior Specialist, NSSL4 Bargaining Unit: UUP (State University Professional Services Unit) Salary: Commensurate with Qualifications Work type: Full-time Location: Syracuse Categories: Management, Professional and Information Technology Job Summary: The Manager of Patient Financial Support Services reports to the Assistant Director of A/R Follow Up and is responsible for the oversight of the Financial Resource Center, In-house Collections, Cashiers, and Customer & Support Services. The Manager of Patient Financial Support Services is responsible to monitor the work flows within each area to ensure the timely completion of each section's assignments, to ensure that operations are efficient and effective, and to identify, develop, and implement process improvements as necessary, and provide support and guidance to the managers of these units, as well as promote collaboration between these units and other sections of Patient Financial Services, hospital ancillary departments, patients/representatives, and external agencies. Special projects may be assigned by the Assistant Director of A/R Follow Up as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field and three years progressive healthcare related financial management experience, including two years experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity required. Experience with billing and collections process required. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written/oral communication, analytical, team building and organizational skills necessary. Must have ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and have strong PC skills.
