Full-time, non-tenure-track teaching faculty position at the Associate Professor level responsible for serving as the Gebbie Speech-Language Clinic Director within the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders (CSD) at Syracuse University. This is a full-time 12-month position with eligibility for promotion.QualificationsPh.D. in Speech-Language Pathology preferred, but will consider Masters degree or SLP-D with extensive experience in clinical supervision; ASHA CCC-SLP and eligibility for New York State License are required.Job Specific QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience supervising speech-language pathology (SLP) students.Undergraduate and/or graduate level teaching experience preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate the Colleges commitment to diversity and inclusion.ResponsibilitiesThe Clinic Director is responsible for overseeing the Gebbie Speech-Language Clinic operations (e.g., clinical services offered, compliance with policies and procedures, budget, HIPAA compliance and student training). In addition, the clinic director makes all SLP student client assignments, coordinates affiliation agreements for externship placements, secures externship placements for all SLP students, and makes externship placement visits for each student. The speech-language clinic director also manages the non-tenure track clinical faculty who work with clients and train students in the Gebbie Clinic and oversees clinic initiatives. The clinic director also ensures that the department is in compliance with ASHA accreditation standards for the clinical portion of the program. The clinic director teaches didactic courses in their area of specialty.
