The IT Enterprise Data Architect is required for the designing, modeling, and presentation of data. The data needs to be easily accessible, defined, and easy to use. University decision makers will use this data to build reports and dashboards, to help respond to changes and trends, and to forecast the future. The IT Enterprise Data Architect works with functional business analysis from Academic Affairs; Business, Finance, and Administration; and University schools and colleges to interpret business processes, determine the proper data needs, and ultimately architect the solution. The IT Enterprise Data Architect leads and participates in all aspects of design and development of data structures to support relational and dimensionally modeled data warehouses and associated analytics resources. These structures are used for external reporting and internal analytics supporting strategic University initiatives and the departments/offices involved in the same. Provides domain expertise and facilitates development of knowledge and skills among existing staff. Coordinates processes required for logical and physical modeling of data. The IT Enterprise Data Architect will collaborate with others on technical architecture.
