The recruitment team is responsible for recruitment, admissions, and enrollment in the College of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) at Syracuse University. The successful candidate will work with the ECS administration and faculty to help develop and execute recruitment plans, coordinate prospective student inquiry communications and follow-up, and be involved in activities that will enhance and expand graduate recruitment outcomes in ECS.QualificationsBachelors degree required, Masters preferred, in higher education, communications, STEM, marketing, or related field.Experience working in college level admissions/recruitment strongly preferred.Job Specific QualificationsOne to three years of university-level recruitment or sales/marketing experienceExcellent customer service skillsStrong organization, planning, and event management experienceOutstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish and maintain rapport with prospective students across the recruitment cycleExperience working in innovative technologies, including social mediaComputer skills including Word and Excel. Database and CRM experience also a plus.ResponsibilitiesWork in collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Student Recruitment to plan and implement enrollment activities including on-campus events, outreach events and specially focused activities that engage prospective U.S. and international students.Represent ECS both internally and externally including travel for recruitment events. Travel could be domestic and/or international.Plan and host organized events (virtual and in-person) including presentations to prospective students, families, and the ECS community both on-campus and in other locationsCoordinate logistics, including organizing visits by prospective students, current student and faculty involvement, organizing materials for prospective students and events, and space arrangements for events.Create and send emails and coordinate email marketing campaigns to provide information and updates to prospective studentsManage recruitment leads and travel cards and coordinate follow-up communicationsActively engage with and provide high quality customer service to prospective students through email, phone, chat sessions, in-person meetings, and other interactions throughout the recruitment cycleWork with the ECS Communications team to increase graduate program visibility through print, web, social and digital media.
