Tech USA is currently seeking a Project Engineer for a full time position to be a part of a dynamic and diverse team. JOB DESCRIPTIONS -Oversee design development of assigned steel structure inspection and repair projects. -Coordinate all design, modeling and drafting activities -Develop and document structural calculations for steel structure repair in conformance to applicable codes, standards and customer requirements. -Work with the Manager-Engineering to develop drawing standards and specifications to support steel structure repair projects. -Work with fabricators and vendors to utilize the most cost-effective materials on steel structure repairs. -Understand the concepts of strength and load as they pertain to utility structures. -Ensure the fabrication of repair assemblies conforms to the dimensions and work practices specified. -Oversee field activities on assigned projects to ensure conformance with project and customer requirements. -Provide training to field personnel on new repair methodologies and techniques. -Work with Sales to develop new project opportunities. -Support pilot projects by providing field support, writing reports and compiling data for presentations. -Assist with technical support of all business units as needed. REQUIREMENTS -Four-year bachelor s degree in structural or civil (with a structural emphasis) engineering from an accredited program (master s degree preferred). -Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) structural programs (such as: PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE, STAAD, GT-STRUDL, etc.). -Experience designing utility structures is preferred. -Proficiency with AutoCad software, 2D and 3D. -Inventor experience is a plus. -PLS-CADD experience is a plus. -Professional engineering license or ability to obtain a license is preferred. -Excellent written and oral communication skills.
