Job Description

The Opportunity:

Premion, a leading "Over-the-Top" advertising and media business, seeks an experienced Sales Planner to manage Premion's pre-sales and political sales planning strategy teams. This person will report to the Sales Planning Manager and be responsible for all pre-sales related activity. This may include Salesforce Opportunity and RFP development, execution of media plans, ensuring compliance with new advertiser/credit policies, gathering client deliverables, customizing presentations, invoice preparation, and acting as an account service contact for select clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact daily with TEGNA Political sales team to create Salesforce opportunities and deliver advertising revenue proposals.
  • Work closely with the Sales Planning Manager to create and implement effective political pre-sales RFP process
  • Respond to requests for information and answer any questions as it relates to political pre-sales process including pricing, volume, forecasts and capabilities
  • Communicate available materials, resources, tools and training to the political sales team
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with marketing and account management.
  • Work with the Billing department to ensure compliance with new advertiser/credit policies and invoice preparation
  • Understand political agencies, political advertisers, data and vendor landscapes and trends, reporting these to the organization; who are the major players and how they buy

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field
  • 5+ years of sales assistant, pre-sales, media planning, and or account management experience
  • Understanding of complex request for proposal (RFP) processes and requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively solve problems
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent command of English
  • Mac and PC proficient especially for presentation and proposal development
  • Exceptional reputation and professional ethos
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Salesforce experience a plus but not required
  • Political experience within digital or linear media is preferred
