Outsourced management accounting and bookkeeping firm serving nonprofit organizations is looking for a senior accountant to join its team. Key tasks in this role are:


  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Reconcile other balance sheet accounts (prepaid expenses, fixed assets, deferred revenues, payroll / sales / income taxes)
  • Manage clients'' closes, including providing financial reports and supporting schedules
  • Analyze clients'' reports
  • Conduct on-site visits to ensure work is done and meet with clients (typically two or three days a week)
  • Develop, document, and communicate financial processes and procedures to the internal team and clients
  • Configure accounting software systems, including QuickBooks desktop, QuickBooks Online, Xero, and integrations including point of sale, time sheet, and CRM systems
  • Onboard new clients including cleaning up new clients'' books
  • Assist other team members with administrative and marketing tasks as needed


Qualified candidates need a minimum of a bachelor''s degree in accounting or finance, have at least three years'' hands-on work experience-preferably on staff in a multi-project nonprofit accounting environment, and demonstrate a command of QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel.
