What are we looking for:

We are looking for an ambitious salesperson to join the Americas Sales Team and be based in Ottawa or New York. We seek self-motivated individuals who are ready to grasp business opportunities within the financial markets.

Your role will consist of promoting and selling the Group s research solutions to financial institutions in Europe. As a Trading Central Sales Representative, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy, report directly to the Director of America Sales and interact with a Global Sales Team.

Target clients include:

  • online banks, online discount brokers, online financial media
  • stockbrokers, sales traders, private bankers, financial advisors, wealth managers
  • prop traders, hedge funds, portfolio managers, institutional investors, and asset managers

Key tasks include cold calling, presentation, negotiation, account management and all stages up to implementation and technical aspects of the services. We are seeking candidates with up to 5 years of sales experience in a similar position with a financial services vendor such as newswires, market data, and independent research with the following characteristics:

  • Successful sales track record in B2B sales
  • Financial markets knowledge or passion
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, team player and impeccable reputation
  • Entrepreneurial, customer-focused and solution-minded
  • A strong commitment to providing value-added services to demanding customers
  • Ability to achieve revenue targets in a challenging environment
  • Educated to a degree level
