Scope:Aerospace & Defense (A & D); RF Engineering Solutions (SYR), Sr. Business Development Engineer. This role is a technical and strategic support role in the RFES Growth and Business Management group acting as a key liaison between the Business Development team and the Engineering/Operations groups. The person in this role has strong technical acumen with the ability to lead and support NPI proposal & capture management activities cross-functionally, represents the voice of the customer with internal engineering teams to assess compliancy/performance to customer requests for proposals, supports the BD team on customer tele-cons/visits in support of capture management activities, supports strategic planning by understanding customer/competitive requirements and trends, and assists with product/technical road-mapping. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Executes NPI proposal procedures and processes in coordination with Business Development and the Bid & Proposal team as assigned. This includes scheduling RFP Kick-Off and Status meetings. Initiates and assigns actions; coordinates activities and manages deadlines amongst the Proposal Team members, completes costing and generates price recommendations
- Develops financial acumen by utilizing cost and pricing tools. Develops ability to understand impact of cost and pricing decisions as proposals translate into executable projects. Assess capture management activities with respect to RFES Growth Plan
- In support of the Business Development team, assists with capture recommendations including bid/no-bid decisions, capture plans, product offering and pricing recommendations
- Represents the voice of the customer on proposals. Works internally to assess feasibility with engineering and operations for design and manufactured solutions with respect to customer expectations. Interfaces externally with customer as needed to advance proposals and possible opportunities
- Works internally to assess and challenge the feasibility of key assumptions and risks in early proposal phases
- *In support of the Business Development team, interfaces both internally and externally to assist with the advancement and development of compliant solutions in support of customer requests for proposals or requests for information
- Support strategic planning by understanding customer trends and competitive analysis. Gather information related to technologies available internally and externally to support product and technical road-mapping.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Proven ability as a self-starter, detail oriented, well organized and able to multi-task effectively
- Strong analytically and financial competency
- A broad knowledge of A & D technical and manufacturing capabilities
- Ability to work well and effectively under tight deadlines and pressure
- Ability to multitask on several priority issues simultaneously without degrading quality
- Ability to influence without authority and work well with a variety of team structures and individuals.
- Ability to work during non-traditional hours as required, during critical phases of projects
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Project and PowerPoint are critical)Education and Experience:Education: B.S. Engineering required. May be willing to accept B.S. Business/Finance degree with industrial/manufacturing and/or equivalent experienceExperience: 8+ years of relevant experience Export Statement:Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. b) Reinforce to all employees the commitment of TTM management to abide by all US Export laws and regulations. c) Understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL). d) Support Export Compliance Officers and others in their efforts to ensure compliance with the Corporate Export policies through implementation and enforcement of these procedures, provide training to all facilities and departments and support periodic audits as required. e) Provide feedback to Corporate Export Compliance Office for continuous improvement of procedures and overall Export Compliance program.
