Scope: 'Electrical - The Designer position is responsible for timely and accurate circuit layout, detail drawings and documentation of electro/mechanical components to support existing and new product designs. The responsibilities include simple to complex RF circuit layouts, digital layouts, component detail and assembly drawings. The Designer shall be capable of working independently to support all the drawing and documentation activities. Mechanical - Timely and accurate independent design to support existing and new product development. The responsibility includes supporting and designing electro/mechanical components for complex product assemblies, manufacturing fixtures, production tooling, and test set-up enclosures. Will define critical electro/mechanical features, functionality and sustaining the products development activity.' Duties and Responsibilities:
- Executes the tasks that will meet the program goals and objectives, which include but are not limited to, customer specifications, internal design standards, industry standards, scheduled commitments or other stated requirements.
- Provides program support to Project Management and/or Electrical Engineers consisting of executing and monitoring day-to-day commitments and tasks.
- a. Prepare detail drawings, machining files and/or artworks for internal/external printed circuit board, thick/thin film fabrication.
- b. Create and maintain electro/mechanical 2D and 3D part/assembly drawings.
- c. Build and maintain the drawing product structure (bill of materials).
- d. Create part numbers; maintain the electronic file management of the part drawing.
- e. Implement Release/Change Notice (RCN).
- f. Review and approve drafting documentation.
- g. Excellent training skills and assist with less experienced staff.
- Completes tasks on schedule; maintains organized records; works systematically and efficiently; and is detail oriented.
- Interprets requirements as needed from the program team to facilitate the design's functionality from the customer and internal specifications with professional collaboration, integrity, and respect.
- Provides support to engineers, designers and assists detailers as required.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Complies with and supports company policies and programs regarding safety, security, ISO, EEO, OSHA and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent PC Skills.
- Proficient in ASME drafting standards and IPC standards.
- Proficient in company approved 2D and/or 3D CAD software.
- Knowledge of Mechanical and/or Electrical manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Effectively conveys pertinent information in a constructive manner verbally and/or written format.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; works effectively in a team environment by communicating positively and sharing ideas with one another.
- Resolves or escalates issues in a timely manner; often involves their supervisor, the program manager or engineering team.
- Actively pursues opportunities to expand job-related knowledge. Able to work with no supervisionEducation and Experience: Education: Electrical / Mechanical Technology equivalent requiredExperience: 6-8 Years Relevant Experience. Digital and/or RF circuit layout is a plus.Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
