*Note: the following is an opportunity for volunteer, part-time, flexible work?with the possibility for compensation as we grow. Please DO NOT APPLY if you are only looking for paid employment.*
Are you at a point in your life where doing something challenging, meaningful and fun is more of an urgent concern for you than compensation? Are you ready to work with smart and talented individuals committed to producing great content in the public interest? Do you have extensive experience running organizations? Join our grand experiment in creating high-quality, insightful news.
WhoWhatWhy is looking for a volunteer Director?of Marketing to oversee and organize our marketing and public relations departments, its fundraising goals, and its daily operations. You will work closely with senior leadership to create marketing procedures, efficient readership tracking systems and a coherent, holistic plan for long-term branding growth.
If you can commit a minimum of 10 or more hours a week, working remotely on your own schedule with our far-flung, diverse team, we?d like to hear from you.
Who We Are
WhoWhatWhy is changing public awareness. We are a credible solution to the raging debate over whether news is ?fake? or not,? with agenda-free research and bracingly fresh analysis. Non-corporate, non-partisan and commercial-free, we are powered entirely by public support and the passionate involvement of people who believe in our mission. Our social media endeavors to be an extension of our mission while reaching as many people as possible.
You will work remotely and on your own schedule, though we require a minimum commitment of 10 hours a week. Because our staff is spread throughout the world, we communicate mostly through email. All staff are required to respond to emails on a daily basis. If you possess a high level of self-motivation, work well independently, strive for excellence, and commit quality time per week on a regular basis to help achieve team goals, we?d like to hear from you.
Please send us?a resume and carefully reasoned,?customized cover letter that shows that you have studied and thought about what we do at WhoWhatWhy. Our mission must resonate deeply with you.?We will not review applications that appear to be mass submissions. You?must confirm?your understanding that this is?a volunteer position.
