Summary of the Position: The primary responsibility of the Community Treatment Specialist is to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct services to assigned clients and their families. The Day Treatment Specialist will be responsible for conducting at least one group a day and the implementation of programs day treatment schedule which focuses on cognitive restructuring and teaches youth how to replace irrational/antisocial thinking with pro-social thoughts. Individual will be working in a site-based day treatment program. Skill trade knowledge is a plus, i.e. carpentry, gardening, maintenance, culinary, electrical, mechanical, etc. Evenings are required.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree or bachelors degree preferred. Experience with youth and families involved in the Juvenile Justice System.
Position requires reliable transportation, valid drivers license, clean driving record, and car insurance limits with a minimum of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident bodily injury liability.
